We did Mormon Loop and Hidden Valley, so we hiked a good bit of National Trail as well. Total we came in just over 6 miles and about 1500ft, took about 3 hours. The first mile of Mormon Trail is a lot of elevation gain and a lot of rocks, but we saw some pretty young kids and a lot of dogs so I would say moderate is a fair rating. The rest of the loop- both Mormon and Hidden Valley - is pretty easy. Hidden Valley had a lot of smooth rocks that we ended up sliding down rather than trying to climb, and that part of the trail is a little more difficult to follow because for the most part it's unmarked. If I was going to hike this again, I would want to start much earlier in the day to hopefully avoid the crowds. If parking lot is full, street parking is available. No bathroom facilities at this trailhead. It's moderate as suggested and pretty busy. Lots of folks with dogs and dog droppings on the trail.
