These gardens are attached to a magnificent house dating from the period of Queen Elizabeth. (The house is not routinely open) These are a series of garden rooms including a magnificent herbaceous border. We came too early to see it in its full glory. If you feel like a walk there are plenty of them on this large estate. The mains gardens are situated in a valley which creates a micro-climate offering protection for the plants. The elevated Shack in the centre of the garden was once an office of a previous owner who was an architect. There's plenty of fun for children too. It a shame that the House is open only very occasionally.
