Once a symbol of the golden age of air travel, a Douglas Super DC-3 airplane lies hollow and forgotten on a deserted black beach in Iceland - untouched since it crashed more than four decades ago.
If you don’t know where to look, it can be a difficult place to discover on your own.
This place is located between Skógafoss waterfall and Vik. After Skógafoss you drive to the East on Route 1, and then you will cross a bridge till you get to a dirt access road to Sólheimajökull Glacier on the left. Kepp driving for 2 to 3 killometer till you see another gate access once you wee 4×4 vehicles only sign then that's the entrance is.
