Red beach on the Iranian island of Hormuz, Hormozgan Province, in Southern part of Iran, is one of the best hidden gems of the middle east.
Hormuz Island is considered as one of the largest mines in the Red Land of the World, and it contains around 40,000 tons of iron oxidized soil.
If you've heard from teh natives that you can eat the soil don't be entirely surprised!it's true that the red clay of this area is nutritious and you can taste it.
It should be said that there is no concern for you to eat this soil because if you do not feel it yourself, you will eat it in local cuisine :)) . This soil, known among the locals as Gulak, has many spices in the area.
