The Regent's Canal in the capital provides an oasis of peace. It was once the best kept secret of London, but now we spread the word with walkers, boaters, commuters and everyone looking to flee the busy roads of the town. Regent's Canal, is an 8.6-mile waterway that links Paddington Basin and Limehouse Basin in London, England.
This peaceful walkway is a nice break from the busy hustle and bustle of one of the world's great cities. Althought it can be a bit grotty in places, it is quite safe. The walk from Camden Town to Limehouse Basis - or the other way around - takes about four or five hours total, with lots of opportunities for dining or drinking along the way.

This canal towpath from Camden Lock towards Little Venice is less than an hour's walk. After about 10 minute's walk you can see the hyenas on one side of the canal and exotic birds on the other side. They're part of London Zoo, which the Canal passes through, so don't worry that they're going to confront you on the towpath!
As you continue to walk to will see the incredible home of the American Ambassador on your left. Continue walking for another 10 minutes and you will come to the gate of the amazing community of boaters at the Lisson Grove mooring.

The mooring gates are open from dawn to dusk, so you can walk through the mooring. The boaters there have created the most beautiful part of the walk. It is so tranquil and beautiful and as I pass through, I must admit I often dream of seeing how life would be living on the canal like that.
