Opened to honour Queen Sirikit’s 72nd birthday in 2004, Benjakiti Park is located in a busy, skyscraper bedecked neighborhood next to the convention center.
The park is dominated by a huge lake in the centre, which features a ~2 km walking/running path around its perimeter.
The new interiors were conceptualized by Bangkok-based ASC Interior, which drew inspiration from the nearby Benjakitti Park and Lake that many of the apartments overlook.
The color palette used is dominated by blues from the sky and lake, and greens from the park’s trees and shrubs.
As a nod to the property developer’s Japanese roots, Shama Lakeview Asoke also introduced a collection of tatami studios and one-bedroom apartments, each with a raised tatami seating area.
There’s an artificial lake that's good for jogging and cycling around its 2km track (bikes can be hired for 50B per hour; 8am to 7pm). You can also rent a bike and circle around, or rent a pedal boat and enjoy a silent natural beauty in town.
