See Canyon Trail

If you're looking for a hike that goes to the top of the rim, this is one however the last part of the trail leading to the rim is very steep. The trail is forested with many dead trees along the way, I think due to a fire. Some parts are narrow but you won't get that hemmed in feeling. In spring, it was dusty, hot, and dry so the creek was down to a trickle. It was very hard to get water from the creek unless using a pump.There's a lot of moss growing all over and fungus. It's cool to see the different species of mushrooms.
