Eat your heart out, Central Park (New York), this is mind blowing at every turn. . In late November the foliage on the Gingko and Maples was incredible. Park got very busy in some places but it is kept spotlessly clean. Fiery reds, bright yellows, deep oranges. This was one of our favorite "detours" You do need to pay to get it but it was nominal and absolutely worth it, I believe around the entrance fees were just 200 yen. The entry was busy, but the rest of the park was so spacious you never felt crowded and had plenty of time for photo ops or private moments enjoying the incredible Tokyo skyline/garden views. The whole park is definitely walkable in a large circuit within 1-2 hours.
