St. Olof Church ruins
Sigtuna (St. Olof Church) was founded to be the first Christian town in Sweden – the center of the new religion. Scattered aroun the town of Sigtuna are remnants of the Viking age and Medieval times. Runestones scatter the town, and the church ruins stand boldly against the years! you can truely feel that many of the historic Swedish culture is embedded in this part of the country. I recommand you to explore this part for yourself and uncover an almost hidden page of world history. Start at Sankt Olofs Kerkorian. After done exploring it, head southwest on Prästgatan, the street just south of the ruins. By following that road, you will find Sankt Lars Kyrkoruin on your left and Sankt Pers Kyrkoruin at the end of the way straight ahead and a little to the right.
Next to the church’s south wall you can find the foundations of a small house with a dry well that is still visible. Dont forget to check that out as well!
