The Schlachtensee is loacted in the southwestern part of Berlin, in the heart of the forest, between Krumme Lanke and Wannsee.
The Schlachtensee is one of the region’s most picturesque areas with all kinds of swimming locations and sprawling parks where you can relax and get into nature. This is a fantastic place for all kinds of outdoor activities. In summer, circling around the lake is a seven-kilometer long continuous boardwalk, which invites for strolling or jogging.
In the south part of the lake, direct at the S-Bahnhof with the same name, lies the “Paul Ernst Park”, a green and recreation park, which winds itself down to the lake and reaches almost a kilometer along the south bank of the lake up to a rocky headland. Since there is also a playground nearby, both south and north banks are used by lots of families with children.
Near the Schlachtensee you can find the lake Krumme Lanke, also a popular swimming lake.
