You might have come across "Bali Gate" or "Gates of Heaven." Once or twice, while scrolling through your Instagram.
The Hardara Gate is located in the North of Bali in the village of Bedugul. (At the entrance of the Handara Golf and Resort Bali.) Sometimes you can miss the turn for the Handara Gate, so keep an eye out for the Handara Golf Resort Bali sign on the right side of the road.
Before blowing up on social media, the golf resort would allow everyone to take a picture with this gate, but now you have to pay 15,000 IDR and get in line for your turn at the gate. You'll only get to have 5 minutes for it, too.
The best way to get to Bedugul's Handara Gate is by car or scooter, and the journey takes around 1.5 hours from Canggu, Seminyak and Kuta's central tourist regions. You can rent a scooter from your hotel or one of the several scooter rental shops in the main tourist hubs for as little as 50,000 IDRs per day.
The best time to get there is way early in the morning.
