Talapus and Olallie Lake Trail

A wide and well maintained trail. It's all uphill to Talapus but not very long. Trail is well maintained, especially from the trailhead to Talapus Lake. Just a few muddy spots left. The switchbacks allow for a low-moderate incline. I managed to have a few solitary minutes at both lakes before other groups arrived, it was very peaceful and the lakes are beautiful. The trail traffic picked up considerably midday and parking is limited, so arrive early if you can. The parking lot was overflowing when we reached the vehicles. Nice lakes, well maintained trails, great break in hike or backpacking trip for those new to the activity or to start your season. Just done expect solitude.
