Tarangire National Park has one of the most beautiful scenery with the ancient and very interesting Boabab trees dotting the landscape. Also great place to see herds of elephant, often up close which was fantastic and again not something we saw at any of the other parks in this quantity. Apparently this park has the highest density of Elephants in Africa. Saw a couple of lion briefly also. Wish we saw leopard but didn't.
The rivers were pretty dry with not much water and the worst part about this park is the incessant Tse Tse flies biting you. You cannot get rid of them. Really annoying. Do not wear dark clothing. But even if you wear light clothing they still get you, maybe just not as badly.
