Skiing in Wolkenstein

The main ski area in Wolkenstein (Selva di Val Gardena) is the ski resort Val Gardena (Gröden). The ski resort is located 0.5 kilometres from the centre of the village. The village enjoys a fabulous setting under the impressive walls of Sassolungo, immediately above the slopes of Ciampinoi, and the Gruppo del Sella – a fortress-like massif 6km across that lies at the hub of the Sella Ronda circuit. There are knockout views as you descend from Dantercëpies, for example, and from Alpe di Siusi.
