The Valle de la Luna is where they trialled moon rovers. It is an outlandish area with masses of salt which in places looks like a huge snowfall has taken place. Check out the disused salt mine and some of the amazing rock channels carved by now-departed waters. This is it a short trip to the Luna valley 10 km outside San pedro. You first depending on your tour guide go to the caves of the and climbing around the rocks. You then go onto the salt caverns where you see the old caverns for the mines, and then you can walk in the crater of the valley. You then go onto an amazing sunset which turns the valley red.
