This is a popular all season hike and trail run close in to the Seattle metro area.. The trail is in generally good shape except for the last half mile that is pretty loose. The 'viewpoint' was likely a great view 15 years ago but the trees have grown up a bit so now the best view is actually about a quarter mile before you get to the top. You can step a bit off the path and get some good shots. The traffic is heavy enough that the birds at the top will just about land ON YOU to get food. Dogs are allowed on leash but almost nobody puts them on a leash. I got jumped on by more than one dog and saw a lady almost get knocked down so watch out.
