This nature reserve is absolutely gorgeous with stunning views across kent. Warning signs are every where regarding cattle but most are only inquisitive of who you are. The paths are reasonably clear and manageable if wearing walking boots designed for the job. The views from the millstone are amazing and live up to the claim of it being "the best view in Kent". You can see all the way round from nearly Maidstone, past Dungeness to the cliffs at Hastings on a clear day (which is what we had). There were also loads of late spring flowers growing on the chalkhillside. Tip: park in the car park at the top of the hill rather than the poky dark car park on the edge of the woods - you then get the great views from the car park as well.
