Tell us a bit about yourself Giulia
My name is Giulia and I am a travel/ adventure photographer. I live in a small village in the heart of the Dolomites in northern Italy. I have always been a very creative person and love to inspire people with my art. I properly got into landscape photography about one year ago when I purchased my first full frame camera and I haven’t looked back ever since.

How would describe your photography style Giulia?
I do a lot of landscape and combine it with lifestyle photography, I prefer moody and rainy weather but also the colors in the early morning light. I like to mix warm orange tones with cold blue tones and have a very vivid tone palett to my pictures. I think it is really important to find a harmony in color and attending an art school for 5 years definitely helped to learn about composition and colors.

How did you get into photography? was there a specific moment?
I have always loved to take pictures and I remember I used to hang out with my best friend to shoot creative pictures & portraits with her camera. When I was 14 I got my first DSLR camera for my birthday and took pictures of my friends and my travels. I used to go shoot now and then but I really got into it when I bought my first full frame around one year ago, I somehow rediscovered my love for photography and fell in love especially with capturing landscapes because you can create art, be in the great outdoors and make beautiful memories with friends, it is every time an adventure.

How do you pick your subjects?
I often visit places that I already saw online or in magazines and try to go to get my own unique shot of that place, I know a lot of people, especially in the Instagram community, say it is not really creative to go to the places everyone has already a seen, but for me this is different: I think it is more a challenging to go to a place that everyone knows and create your own unique version no one has seen yet. I try to keep my eyes open while driving or while hiking and look out for a potentially good picture. I also like to incorporate people in the landscapes to give a scale and just make the viewer feel more a part of it somehow.

What is the most memorable trip you have had in recent memory?
I think for now it has to be the Faroe Island I visited back in April this year, it was such a wonderful trip exploring the island and see landscapes that are totally new and unique to me. I visited the Faroe Islands with my mother and sister but they weren’t always ready to join early in the morning for a sunrise missions but I was okay with it, in the end, the whole trip it was an experience I won't forget.
